·
INGREDIENT LIST
- 1lb ground beef (or 2lbs for thicker burger)
- 1 pack Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 6 slices cheese of choice! (We used cheddar or American but you could use any cheese you prefer ie. Swiss, pepper jack, etc.)
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
- Seasoning of choice for meat (I like to add 1 tsp. Garlic powder)
GARLIC BUTTER TOPPING
- 2 tbs. Butter
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
- Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375° F (190 C)
- Take white tray of buns out of bag (if using King’s Hawaiian Rolls).
- Using parchment paper, unroll enough paper to make it an inch or so larger than the size of the tray of rolls.
- While you have the rolls in front of you, using a bread knife, and keeping the rolls connected, cut the rolls in half long ways, making a giant top layer and bottom buns layer
- Set rolls aside, and place raw ground beef on parchment paper and flatten to the size of the parchment paper making a rectangle shape. Place in rimmed baking sheet or cake pan.
- Season meat with S + P and I like to do garlic powder at this time as well.
- Bake at 375° for 15-17 min or until juices run clear.
Now to make your garlic butter topping while meat is baking :)
- In a small microwave safe dish, melt butter then add garlic salt. Stir to combine and set aside for assembly
- Burger Assembly
- Once the burger has finished cooking, remove pan from the oven. (Leave oven on to toast buns at the end)
- Carefully, with a large spatula holding the beef, tilt pan and drain excess grease back into the pan.
- Then, place bottom layer of rolls, upside down on top of beef, and flip and transfer burgers to a clean baking sheet. This will result in ground beef and bottom layer of rolls on the new baking sheet with the parchment paper facing up.
- Remove the parchment paper and throw away.
- Place your 6 slices of cheese on top of ground beef.
- Next, place the top bun layer on top of cheese
- With a basting brush, brush top of buns with your garlic butter mixture.
- Place back into the oven for 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oven very carefully as it will be hot. And now cut your burgers into sliders with a knife! Voila!
